FAQ

Is a guide price range at which the auctioneer believes the lot might sell at. If offers no guarantees that the lot will achieve the estimate, but it could also sell above that of the high estimate given.

At the Auction Rooms If you are attending the sale at Larry O'Keeffe Auction Rooms, Davis Road, Clonmel you can register free of charge on sale day at the office and a bidding number will be supplied at this time. Online If you intend to bid online you will need to login/create an account on our website (if you have an easyliveauction.com login that will work on larryokeeffeauctions.com. Online Registration is permitted up to and during the sale. In return for basic information (typically contact details & a credit or debit card number) the internet bidding platform will issue a bidding number.

Online Once you register for the sale you will be able to bid live online or place absentee bids on items. In the room On registering you are given a Bidding paddle which will have your bidding number. You can bid on an item by holding up your number or by giving the auctioneer a signal that you are placing a bid. The auctioneer will clarify that it is your bid if there is any question. On successfully winning a lot you will be asked to display your bidding number so the clerk can record it. At any stage you can go to the office and the staff will have a record/invoice for your purchase(s).

The auctioneer will drop the hammer when a lot is sold and will ask to see your bidding number. If the sale is online you will get a notification that you are the winner - (you should however wait until you will receive an email following the sale to notify you of all lots one in case of an errors etc. that may occur. Please note, under certain circumstances our auctioneer may re-open the bidding. Full and clear title will not pass to the buyer until the lot has been paid for.

Larry O'Keeffe Auctioneers accept Cash, Credit/Debit Cards, Bank Transfer, and cheques. Goods are not released until full and final payment has been received. CASH Payments: Under the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering And Terrorist Financing) Act 2010, for all CASH payments over €500 customers are required to complete a CASH ORIGIN form which are available at the office, a form of ID and proof of address as required. For large transactions > €10,000 proof of ID and Address are required for all payment types.

The buyer is subject to 23% commission including vat on the hammer price. e.g. Hammer price €10.00 - total to be paid €12.30

The auction house requests that items purchased are collected after the sale. For sale date 26th February collection is Monday 27th February to Friday 3rd March: 9.30am to 5.30pm.

Shipping/Delivery quotes can be provided on request, we can arrange delivery at a reasonable cost. Alternatively, you can arrange your own shipment and collection. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure safe delivery of goods purchased it is recommended Clients arrange their own insurance if required as the Auction House are not responsible for any damage etc that occurs in transit, it is at the sole risk of the purchaser.
